EPW - Jules Jürgensen, Copenhagen, 42mm, platinum OF original Jules Jürgensen case, silvered dial with applied gold numerals, SW-SS, lever escapement with capped escape wheel, wheel satin nickel finish, s#16527 with matching serial number within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 32.7 dwt (50.6 g). Comes as pictured with its original fitted leather Jules Jürgensen box with paper sticker to its underside bearing typed correctly matched serial number, with its original certificate bearing correctly matched serial number and 1921 date, with a leather Jules Jürgensen marked pouch, with an extra crystal wrapped in tissue paper that is marked with correctly matched serial number, and with an extra mainspring. In all, a spectacular complete set, as platinum cased Jules Jürgensen dress watches complete with box and certificate such as this are rarely seen.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, fully wound, balance will tick weakly if given a twist and excess pressure is held to crown, mvt will occasionally continue ticking for some minutes after crown pressure is released, overhaul needed, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, toning of plate surfaces, scattered micro-fine scratches; dial with micro-fine scratches, some surfaces spots with majority in perimeter areas, some hour numerals with varying degrees of toning or tarnish; excellent hour and minute hands, poor seconds-hand with what appears to be a crudely executed solder repair at its center; case shows little wear, few scratches and patches of abrasion to bezel between 7 and 8:30, small abrasion to band at 6:30; bow pivots freely, crown shows little wear; good glass crystal; box in excellent-plus cosmetic condition overall, some exterior scratches.
